Russian Tourist Visa Invitation
A Russian Tourist Visa Invitation is the easiest and fastest Visa Invitation that you can obtain and that alone, is usually the reason that people will apply for one. Because it is easy and quick to obtain, the Russian Tourist Visa Invitation and Visa, does have limitations. The Russian Tourist Visa has a maximum time limit of between 14 - 30 days and it is usually 30 days, but you should check your local Russian Embassy or Consulate to check the maximum number of days that is granted for your Country of Citizenship.
The Russian Tourist Visa also requires that you have a fixed itinerary, which means you must have a return flight booked and must be able to show that you have accommodation confirmed for your entire stay in Russia. As a general rule, the accommodation you need to show is one or more hotel reservations for your stay. If you are staying at a private residence or apartment, the Russian Embassy or Consulate is likely to require you to obtain a different Visa, such as a Homestay Visa or a Business Visa - both of which require more time, cost and effort.
Many visitors that travel on the Tourist Visa, do in fact plan to stay with friends or in a private apartment, but to enable them to receive a Tourist Visa they need to show a hotel Voucher confirming their booked hotel accommodation.
The other limitation with the Russian Tourist Visa, is that it is only valid for one entry and exit into and out of Russia. You cannot leave Russia during your stay on a Russian Tourist Visa and then re-enter on the same Russian Tourist Visa. Note: There is a slight exception to this rule, in that if you apply for a Double Entry Tourist Visa Invitation and Visa, you are able to cross the border to a CIS country and then re-enter Russian on that same Visa, but you cannot go to any other Country outside the CIS.
If you apply for a Russian Tourist Visa Invitation from Visa 2 Moscow, we will provide you with a Tourist Visa Invitation and a hotel Voucher for the duration of your stay in Moscow. The hotel Voucher will be sufficient to satisfy the Russian Embassy or Consulate that you have accommodation confirmed for the duration of your stay in Russia. Please note that the hotel Voucher is not pre-paid hotel accommodation, nor does it entitle you to stay at the hotel without making payment, it is simply a Voucher to show your accommodation in Russia has been confirmed, for the purposes of obtaining your Russian Tourist Visa. You will still need to book and pay for your accommodation that you wish to have.
