TRAVEL TO THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION - GETTING A VISA AND VISA INVITATION

Residents of almost every country are required to obtain a Visa to enter the Russian Federation. Your Russian Visa is both your entry and exit permit from Russia. The Visa will record your details in Russian and English and will stipulate the earliest date that you can arrive in Russia and the latest date that you can leave Russia.

Visas for Russia CANNOT be obtained at the border and they MUST be obtained before you arrive at the Russian border - there is no such thing as receiving an "instant Visa" at the border which happens in many other countries, that does NOT happen at the Russian border.

You can obtain your Russian Visa at your local Russian Embassy or Consulate, but before applying you will need to have the proper authorisation (invitation) issued by the Passport and Visa Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation or from travel agencies especially authorised by the Ministry to issue them.

We cannot provide you with a Visa, that can only be provided to you from an Embassy or Consulate. What we provide you with is the Visa Invitation (the official invitation to visit the Country) that you will require, in order to apply for your Visa.
